    A network is where you have more then one connected to each other.  A network is where you can save a file on one computer and pull it up on another.  You can also use the same printer, same online connection, and same programs.   Most business have networks and often they have a server so they can hook up as many computers as they want.   You would not need a server if you only have 3 or 4 computers.  A network is also useful for saving memory on computers.  Many computers have the ability to hook up to a network.   In this section you will learn how to set up a server for work or for home. 

• A LAN (Local Area Network) line to each computer you want to connect to a network.
• Each computer has a LAN line port.
• A printer is hooked up to at least one computer.
• A internet connection is hooked up one at least one computer.
• Each computer has a network program.

    If you have more then computer at home then you might want to make a  network.  Making a network is simple Follow these steps to make a network.  

  1.  Have everything in the above list.  
  2. Plug in all of the LAN lines to each computer you want on the network.  
  3. Go to Control Panel and click on Network.  
  4. Go trough all the steps in the network wizard.  
  5.  Make sure all  are networked.
  6. You're done!!!!!

                                How to Network a Computer at Work
       If you bring a laptop or have a computer at work, then you might want to hook it up to a network so you can access your files anywhere on that network. follow these steps. . 

  1.  Have everything in the above list.  
  2.  plug in a LAN line to a LAN jack.  
  3. Get your businesses sever Name and serial number.  
  4. Go to Control Panel and click on Network.   
  5. Go trough all the steps in the network wizard.   
  6. You're done!!!!!
