About Digital Cameras
Digital cameras are like regular cameras except
you can make your own prints and send them on E-Mail. Most digital
cameras have a screen so you can see how the picture turned out. If
you don't like the picture simply delete it and take a better one.
A digital camera also uses a picture quality enhancer called
a Megapixel. The more Megapixels you have the better the picture
will be. You would only need a 2 megapixel digital camera to take
good everyday pictures. They also come with memory cards this is
like film for a digital camera. Things you will need to by for a Digital
Camera
- USB Cable- To view your pictures on your computer.
- At least two 8MB Memory Cards- this is the film for a digital camera. Photos take a lot of memory!!!
- Batteries- So your camera has power.
- Photo Paper- this will give you professional looking pictures.
- Photo Ink Cartage- This will give your pictures high-resulotion color when you print them.
If you want good pictures you have to have these things.
Viewing Pictures on your Computer
Once you have taken the pictures you
can view them on your computer. To view your photos on your computer,
hook the USB cable to the computer and your camera and you can view your
photos. You can use a photo editer like Printshop or Kodak to crop,
resize, change the brightness, reduce red eye and more. You can Send
your photos to friend and famliy members on your e-mail. There is
a lot you can do with your pictures on your computer.
Printing your Photos
When you print pictures you want to make sure you have photo paper and a photo catrage (unless you choose option 3) . This will make your photos professenal looking. There are three ways to print photos decide which one is right for you.
Option 1- Printing or a Program You can print photos on the same program you view them. Follow these steps to print of f
of a program.
1. Make sure that the Photo ink cartage and the photo paper are ready on your printer..
2. Go to the program that you use to view your photos.
3. Select the photo(s) that you would like to print.
4. Go to File then go to Print.
5. chosse your picture size if nessacery.
6. Click Print.
7.You're Done!!!!!!
Option 2- Print off of the Memory Card (Certin Printers ) Some printers have a Memory card slot. This lets you print pictures without using the computer. Follow these steps to Print using a Memory Card. Note: This will print all of the photos on your Memory Card.
1. Make sure that the Photo ink cartage and the photo paper are ready on your printer.
2. Insert Memory card for camera into the printer's Memery Card slot.
3. chose the size of your photos.
4. Chose how many photo copies you want.
5. Press the Enter or Start button on your printer. (Your printer should start printing)
6.You're Done!!!!!!
Option 3- Send your photos to a Publiser If you want a professenal to print your photos and send them to you then you have to send your photos by e-mail. Read Attaching Photos to e-mails below.
Attaching Photos to E-mails
You don't have to print photos from a printer to send them to friends and famliy. You can attach your photo to a e-mail.
This way will not cost you anything!! Follow the steps to send pictures by e-mail.
1. Log-on to your E-Mail account.
2. Go to Compose
3. Fill out the person who your sending to's address in the To: box. (Ex: someone@hotmail.com)
4. Fill out the subject of the E-mail in the Subject box.
5. Click the Add Attachment button or tab.
6. Chose the the file you want to attach.
7. Click Attach
8. Write your E-Mail.
9. You're Done!!!!!
You do not have to send a e-mail for every picture you can add mutiple attachments to one e-mail, but keep in mind if you want a copy of the E-mail that each photo will take memory.
